Jessica is a Limited Licensed Counselor, and earned B.A. degrees in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Michigan and a M.A. in Applied Clinical Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University. Jessica works with teenagers, adults, couples, and families with anxiety, depression, career issues, OCD, and relationship conflict. She has experience in a variety of areas in the mental health field, including college counseling, in-home family counseling, and outpatient counseling.

Jessica’s approach to therapy is filled with positivity and humor, yet balanced with realism and accountability. She is a direct and active therapist who combines active listening and emotional validation with thought-provoking and, at times, challenging questions. For OCD, she utilizes Exposure and Response Prevention to help clients identify and reduce obsessions/intrusive thoughts and compulsions. She also utilizes Emotion-Focused therapy, Narrative therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment therapy to help clients identify their emotions and communication/relationship patterns, explore their life story, and implement desired changes for a more fulfilling and value-driven life.

“Jessica is passionate about mentorship and community involvement. She coaches high school and club volleyball, plays volleyball in beach and indoor leagues, and attends several book clubs. She also loves spending time with her family and two cats, traveling, and cooking.
