Jessica Cloutier is a Licensed Professional Counselor whose work is deeply rooted in family-systems approaches, helping clients understand relational and internal dynamics with clarity and insight. She integrates EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and insight-oriented strategies to support individuals in navigating complex emotional landscapes. When working with couples, she also draws on tools from the Gottman Method, Imago, and Nonviolent Communication, fostering connection, communication, and understanding relational patterns. Jessica specializes in supporting people navigating family dynamics, codependency, overfunctioning, trauma (PTSD/CPTSD), and emotional overwhelm. She aims to assist clients in cultivating inner peace, balance, and ease in life and relationships. Her approach provides a space for clients to name and fully experience their emotions, express themselves authentically, receive the messages of others, and take actions aligned with their values.
Jessica received her Master’s Degree in Counselor Education from Western Michigan University and has extensive coursework and practicum experience in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has applied her knowledge of family systems and trauma in past roles in the Child Welfare and Community Mental Health systems. She is knowledgeable about various community resources and ways to build resilience, community, and identity outside of the therapy room.

Jessica enjoys time in nature. exercising, latin dancing, reading and spending time with family and her dog. She and her dog are working to become a therapy dog team through West Michigan Therapy Dogs. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer, which assists her in integrating pscyhoeducation of the benefits of adapting/maintaining physical movement as a means of stress management, self care, and nervous system regulation in her holistic approach to individual wellness, if this is an area that matches the client's goals. Jessica has completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Prepare/Enrich Premarital Counseling. In addition to therapy work, she also provides Clinical supervision of Limited License Professional Counselors.
