Tom Grabill is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and an ordained pastor (MDiv). Tom received his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Hope College, his MDiv from Western Theological Seminary and a master’s degree in Counselor Education: Marriage & Family Therapy from Western Michigan University. Tom specializes in individual, marital, and family therapy. He strongly believes in the importance of creating a counseling space that is both authentic and safe. This counseling environment allows clients to open up to be able to work through things that are keeping them stuck , both currently and in the past, and helping them experience more out of life. Tom is passionate about marriage counseling as a way to help couples work through past hurts and issues in order to reach the ultimate goal of a healthy and vibrant marriage. He uses Family Systems Theory and EFT to help couples find workable solutions for relational challenges. Tom is a facilitator and trainer for Prepare/Enrich, a premarital and marriage assessment tool that has been effective for over 35 years.
Tom and his wife Michelle reside in the lakeshore area and enjoy time with three grown children and their significant others. In his spare time you can find Tom watching college and professional sports, working in his yard or restoring/refurbishing old things. He and his wife enjoy riding bikes and hiking scenic trails around Michigan and National Parks.
