Susan is a Licensed Professional Counselor who enjoys partnering with individuals who are seeking personal growth and emotional healing. She recognizes the importance of providing support and intentional space to understand experiences, discover the impact of former and current relationships and increase self-awareness. Susan has journeyed alongside people exploring issues such as adoption, anxiety, divorce, depression, family relationships, grief, infertility, life transitions, marriage, remarriage and blended families. In her home, Susan has a framed quote written by the poet Mary Oliver which asks “Tell me what you would like to do with your one wild and precious life.” She regularly reflects on this question and would be honored to help you explore your own answer.
Susan earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Calvin College and went on to complete her Master’s Degree from Western Michigan University. In the course of her career, Susan has worked for non-profits, facilitated adoptions in social service agencies, taught at the college level as an adjunct professor and now dedicates her time to supporting people in a therapeutic relationship.
