Steve provides in-person, as well as secure telehealth virtual counseling for individuals and couples who are geographically distant or have health-related limitations or concerns. With years of church-based pastoral care and private practice clinical counseling experience, he is passionate
about providing compassionate care and support to those facing life-challenging crises, addictions, or mental health problems.

Steve assists clients in developing healthy life skills, overcoming addiction, resolving conflict, and accessing needed resources to fulfill their personal, family, and vocational goals. He offers Individual and Couples Counseling, Men’s Issues, Grief Support, and Conflict Mediation. Steve is also a Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CAADC).

Steve has expertise in trauma therapy, working with school-age children and adolescents (ages 5-17), and adults of all ages. He specializes in helping clients overcome trauma, depression, substance use, anxiety, and many other concerns. He primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). He also provide Trauma-Informed Parenting (TIP) counseling to support parents and caregivers of traumatized children and adolescents.

Steve understands that life can be challenging and overwhelming, but he’s here to help. He welcomes anyone who needs support to reach out to him for assistance.

Steve and his wife, Alison, have been married for 35 years and have 5 adult children. They enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, trail biking, kayaking, and walking their dog Lincoln.
