Addie completed her masters degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling through Antioch University New England. In her training and career, she has worked in schools, nursing homes, day programs for those with intellectual and development disabilities as well as case management, and private practice. Her therapeutic style emphasizes and celebrates strengths that currently exist and gently works with individuals to build skills, confidence, and self-acceptance as life challenges are weathered. Addie encourages her clients to be present with the cues their bodies give them to more readily cope and address needs proactively. In Addie’s sessions, all growth and wins will be celebrated, no matter how small. All emotions, tears, and laughter are welcome. Witnessing clients become truer to themselves and speak more kindly about themselves are among Addie’s greatest delights in her work. Addie is passionate about working with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community, young adults, individuals navigating life transitions, as well as anyone in need of a safe space to process and cultivate self-compassion.
Addie and her husband have one daughter, a golden retriever, and two cats. She is a lover of animals, boat rides, crafting, audio books, music, and dancing.
