Phil Quinn, LLPC
- Holland,
(616) 222-0631 ext 744
Phil enjoys working with adolescents, teens, and adults as they explore their identities and core values, process trauma, and find meaning in their experiences and relationships. He offers in-person and telehealth options for individual therapy as well as relationship counseling for friends, family members, and intimate relationships. Phil’s experiences growing up in a rural community, serving in the church, in human resources, and in social justice work have made him passionate about walking alongside people who have experienced marginalization and trauma – especially around issues related to sexuality and gender. And if you identify as a gamer, a nerd, or a geek, you will have a lot of shared language to do this work together!
Phil holds an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University as well as an MDiv and over a decade of experience working with people that have experienced religious trauma and abuse. Phil is sex-positive and kink-allied. He comes to the therapeutic relationship with a person-centered approach, where compassion, empathy, and non-judgement are core elements of the healing work. He approaches treatment with an integrated psychodynamic, internal family systems, and narrative therapy lens. He also incorporates NVC, the Enneagram, as well as ACT and CBT tools as appropriate.
