Breanne Thomas, LMSW

  • Byron Center,

Breanne believes we all possess a deep capacity for healing and growth, but we don’t have to do it alone. As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a graduate degree from Baylor University, Breanne’s practice is built on the power of whole-hearted living. This means having the courage to be vulnerable, the strength for self-compassion, and a commitment to genuine connection.

Her goal is to provide a warm, non-judgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are. She believes effective therapy happens in the context of a genuine, trusting relationship, and it is here that we can do our most meaningful work.

Breanne’s Approach:
Her approach is collaborative and practical. Together, Breanne and you will not only navigate your immediate struggles with issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress, but the two of you will also focus on building sustainable habits and connections that support your long-term well-being. She helps clients move beyond just coping to building a life that feels genuinely fulfilling and aligned with their values.

With a background in crisis work, counseling and evaluation, Breanne brings a calm, focused presence to sessions. She specializes in trauma-informed care and is certified in Mindfulness, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Breanne’s areas of expertise include:
· Trauma and PTSD
· Anxiety and Depression
· Relationship Issues
· Life Transitions
· Self-Esteem and Stress Management
· Mindfulness

The quote by Brené Brown, “”We don’t have to do it alone. We were never meant to,”” deeply reflects the work Breanne and you will do. She is committed to creating a space that honors your story and empowers the changes you want to make.

Taking the first step towards therapy is an act of courage. If you are ready to begin this journey, Breanne invites you to reach out and connect with her!

Breanne strives to live the whole-hearted philosophy that defines her practice. You can often find her recharging by getting outside for a walk, getting lost in a good book, or baking for her family, friends, and neighbors. These aren’t just hobbies to her- they’re personal reminders of the essentials for a balanced and resilient life. These practices are a living expression of her core values: mindfulness through being present, the commitment to continuous learning, and the profound importance of connection. Above all, they are how Breanne nurtures herself with rest, joy, and cherished relationships.
