Krista Leinberger partners with individuals, families and couples on their journey towards growth. Krista makes empathetic listening a priority with each client. She actively assists clients in developing skills to overcome obstacles and make change a reality. She has extensive experience with children, adolescents and adults. Krista specializes in: anxiety, depression, trauma, anger management, interpersonal effectiveness, postpartum anxiety and depression (PMAD), child/adolescent issues, women’s issues, identity/adjustment issues, and spiritual struggles. She holds a Bachelor’s in English Education from Michigan State University and after several years in the teaching profession, she earned her Master’s of Social Work from Grand Valley State University. Krista is fully trained in: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) through the EMDR Institute, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy through DBT Center of Michigan. She also facilitates spiritual direction and is a trained Spiritual Director through the Grand Rapids Dominican Center. She lives with her husband and young daughter in downtown Grand Rapids.
