Julie Schillim received her Master’s degree from Western Michigan University in Counseling Psychology with additional work in marriage and family therapy. She also has a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology. Julie believes in the counseling process and acknowledges the importance of the therapeutic relationship. She provides a warm, non-judgmental, open, and trauma informed environment that allows individuals to learn and grow in the counseling process. Julie has worked in the behavioral health field for over 10 years working with adults, adolescents, and children. Through her experience as a clinician and supervisor in the behavioral health system, she has found joy in working with behavioral health and helping professionals. Julie also specializes in, depression, anxiety, trauma, attention disorders, as well as women’s issues, work difficulties, life transitional and interpersonal struggles, and adolescent and young adult issues. Julie has further specialized training and experience in adolescent and adult DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), and Mindfulness.
