Dr. Jenna Wierenga earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Masters in Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jenna enjoys working with adolescents and adults in individual therapy. She is passionate about working with individuals to develop healthy ways of coping with stressors by exploring one’s past experiences and current actions in order to build and maintain a healthy and full life. Jenna is intentional about creating a safe and supportive space by offering a non-judgmental listening ear. She pursued a Masters in Theology as a way to better understand and integrate the spiritual concerns, questions, and doubts that inevitably arise in the face of struggles. She views therapy as a place where you can express your emotions (fear, anger, hurt, pain, doubt, longing, gratitude, etc.). Jenna has interest and expertise in treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, stress management, relationship and interpersonal issues, women’s issues, health and medical illness issues, and spiritual or religious issues.
